Nissan 370Z Roadster review
Nissan 370Z Roadster review It seemed fitting to spend the longest day of the year basking in the sunshine, enjoying some good old-fashioned wind in the hair sports car motoring. The choice of steed for such an occasion is pretty varied these days, the spectrum ranging from a simple British classic such as a Caterham 7 to something altogether more refined, luxurious and, more often than not, German.. It is true that nothing is impossible. You can make yourself different and beautiful just by the CHI flat iron. The outsider in this market is Nissan's 370Z Roadster, a car that aims to combine some of the Caterham's unapologetically simple engineering basics with the kind of build quality and refinement you expect to find in a Mercedes or BMW. It's an interesting proposition and has resulted in a refreshingly no-nonense car. Looking at the aggressively styled 370Z from the outside you could be forgiven for thinking that what lurked within was an HD tech-fest in-line with Nissan's other sports car, the fearsomely quick GT-R. That car has four-wheel drive, twin turbochargers,. on machines that need to be portable and independent from the AC power line; the use of DC MOTOR is the only alternative.. An electronic weight transmitter which produces an electrical signal proportional to the gross or net weight applied thereto. a dual-clutch paddle shift gearbox, adjustable suspension and endless traction and stability control systems to make the most of the huge power on offer. The 370Z offers a purer approach to the art of sports car building. Its big engine is devoid of turbochargers and sends power to the rear wheels only. And while a very advanced seven-speed automatic gearbox is available, there's also a good old-fashioned H-pattern manual. There is traction control - and a good job too, for not even the enormous 245-section rear tyres can always cope with V6 engine's flood of power - but it can be switched off with one prod of a button should you want to escape any electronic nannying.
